The Bilingual Classroom Environment
Whole books and websites are dedicated to classroom design and layout. But how does that environment change when you’re instructing in two languages? This session will focus on setting up a classroom environment conducive to bilingual learning. We will look at research as well as linguistically appropriate instructional strategies to guide the setup of a classroom environment. The session will also include time to “set up” a mock bilingual classroom as well as plan for your own classroom environment come the fall.
